Colour in the garden

All year round we crave colour in our gardens.  Flowers come to mind straight away, however colour can be achieved with foliage as well. Using coloured foliage in the garden has the added bonus of colour all year round, whereas flowers are seasonal. There are many great plants that will add interest to a garden, from grasses to large shrubs.
